Associations, Federations and Special Interest Groups

Aware of the importance of international cooperation for the advancement of science, INSTICC works closely together with several other national and international associations and is proud to welcome them as partners in its activities or to arrange initiatives in cooperation with them.

While several forms of partnership are welcome, INSTICC places special value in "Technical Co-Sponsorships", by means of which both associations support each other from a scientific perspective for their mutual benefit. Additionally, in this case, members of partner organizations benefit from the same registration conditions as INSTICC members.

Workflow Management Coalition

Founded in 1993, the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) is a global organization of adopters, developers, consultants, analysts, as well as university and research groups engaged in workflow and BPM. The WfMC creates and contributes to process related standards, educates the market on related issues, and is the only standards organization that concentrates purely on process. The WfMC created Wf-XML and XPDL, the leading process definition language used today in over 80 known solutions to store and exchange process models. XPDL is a process design format for storing the visual diagram and all design time attributes.

Photonics21

Photonics21 is a voluntary association of industrial enterprises and other stakeholders in the field of photonics in Europe. It unites the majority of the leading Photonics industries and relevant R&D stakeholders along the whole economic value chain throughout Europe. Its mission is the coordination of the research and development activities in Europe among all the contributing partners from education, basic research, applied research and development to manufacturing and all relevant applications.

Spanish Optical Society

The Spanish Optical Society was founded in March of 1968. The creation of the Society was established to promote the development of Optics and in particular the investigation and industrial applications of its different branches.

European Optical Society

The purpose of the society is to contribute to progress in optics and related sciences, and to promote their applications at the European and international levels, by bringing together individuals and legal entities involved in these disciplines and their applications. The European Optical Society (EOS) serves as the joint forum for all individuals, companies, organisations, educational institutions, and learned and professional societies, who recognise the opportunity and challenge that a common European base provides for the development of optics in its broadest sense.

IEEE Photonics Society

The Society's Field of Interest is lasers, optical and photonic devices, optical fibers, and associated lightwave technology and their systems and applications. The society is concerned with transforming the science of materials, optical phenomena, and quantum electronic devices into the design, development, and manufacture of photonic technologies. The Society promotes and cooperates in the educational and technical activities which contribute to the useful expansion of the field of quantum opto-electronics and applications.

The Italian Society of Optics and Photonics (SIOF)

The Italian Society of Optics and Photonics (SIOF) was established in 1991 to promote research and development in the field of optics and photonics and to coordinate such activities throughout the country. One of its tasks is therefore the dissemination of knowledge related to these disciplines. SIOF is the national branch of the European Optical Society (EOS, www.myeos.org)

The Japan Society of Applied Physics

The Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) serves as an academic interface between science and engineering and an interactive platform for academia and the industry. JSAP is a "conduit" for the transfer of fundamental concepts to the industry for development and technological applications.

The French Trade Association

AFOP is a national manufacturing association. Our aims are to assist the economic development of our members and to promote the optics fields: technological and economic intelligence, educational and diplomatic liaising, international development, normative work, networking... Today, AFOP represents near of 100 companies with cumulative annual sales of 2,4 billion € and that employ about 18000 people.
