Photon14 is the largest optics and photonics conference in the UK and the seventh in the series, following Photon02 (Cardiff), Photon04 (Glasgow), Photon06 (Manchester), Photon08 (Edinburgh), Photon10 (Southampton) and Photon12 (Durham). Photon14 will be held at Imperial College London and is an umbrella conference series embracing both 'Optics and Photonics 2014' and 'QEP-21' and has a common social programme

ECOC is the largest conference on optical communication in Europe, and one of the most prestigious and long-standing events in this field.
This conference travels around Europe from year to year and for this 40^th edition, it will take place in Cannes, from September 21 to 25.
The latest advances in optical communication technologies will be reported, from fibers, components and systems up to networks.

The IEEE International Semiconductor Laser Conference (ISLC) has a long tradition as the leading international conference where researchers and engineers from all over the world meet to share and discuss the latest developments in semiconductor lasers, amplifiers and LEDs. The 24th IEEE International Semiconductor Laser Conference will be held at the Melia Palas Atenea Hotel on the seafront in Palma on the beautiful island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean from 7 - 10 September 2014.

The main goal of the conference is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for educators, researchers, engineers and students to report their best results, improvements and new approaches for education, research and development activity in optoelectronics, advanced materials and nanotechnologies. ATOM-N is continuously promoting the development of relationships between former Central and Eastern European countries with countries from all over the world.

The Ninth International Congress on Advanced Electromagnetic Materials in Microwaves and Optics – Metamaterials 2015, will comprise a 4-day Conference (7–10 September), and a 2-day Doctoral School (11–12 September). Organized by the Metamorphose Virtual Institute and hosted by the Wadham College - University of Oxford, this Congress follows the success of Metamaterials 2007-2014 and continues the traditions of the highly successful series of International Conferences on Complex Media and Metamaterials (Bianisotropics) and Rome International Workshops on Metamaterials and Special Materials for Electromagnetic Applications and TLC. The Congress will provide a unique topical forum to share the latest results of the metamaterials research in Europe and worldwide and bring together the engineering, physics, and material science communities working on artificial materials and their applications from microwaves to optical frequencies, as well as in acoustics, mechanics, and thermodynamics.
